摘要(英文): The purpose of this research was to develop and examine the reliability and validity of the Employee Selection Personality Inventory. This inventory contained 130 Likert-type items, including 27 subscales of personality traits and one social desirability scale. The total research samples are 7,101, all gathered from a job bank internet web site. Item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and multivariate analysis of variance were used to check the reliability and construct validity of the present inventory. The results indicated that the Cronbach’s α reliability of all the subscales are fine and the second-order-confirmatory results showed that there was an acceptable goodness of fit between the present inventory and the big-five personality structure, indicated that the construct validity is acceptable. The differences of personality traits of different jobs, position levels, industries and genders are presented.
